"My story begins with my marriage of almost 48 years...

In May of 2018, my husband who was my soul mate passed away very suddenly and left me very lonely and struggling. After about 6 months, one of many sad and lonely sleepless nights, I was on my iPhone playing solitaire and up popped a site called “Puppy Spot”.

I thought… "Where did this come from?" But, with curiosity, I opened it and saw this very cute puppy. And then came the... "No.. I can’t get this puppy" (since we hadn’t had a dog in our house in over 25 years due to our busy jobs and lifestyle) and "how would I take care of him on my own?!?"

But after finding that my thoughts were focused on him, a few nights later I looked again and began to fall in love with this puppy. He is a red merl Aussiedoodle. I knew in my heart that my deceased husband had sent this site to me and wanted me to get him; in a way, as therapy for me.

He was 13 weeks old when he came home with me permanently. My husband was a professional trapper, which is why I named him “Trapper”. He is now 3 1/2 years old. We have been taking all the training in every area starting with puppy socialization and then on to obedience, rally, tracking, therapy and my favorite agility. He has his first title in obedience and rally and we are working on agility.

That is where our love of J&J Dog Supplies comes in. I have purchased many items from their website, and in fact, I've even made some at home equipment, too. It has been a journey that has been wonderful for us. We have met so many new dog people and some have become good friends.

Trapper is now a therapy dog on a daily basis. We have been tested and joined an organization so we can fulfill the requirements and bring joy and fun to other lives while still doing agility. Through all of this, the most important thing is that he has been my reason to get up every day and motivation for life. I would have been a lost puppy myself but we have each other. It might seem odd and hard for others to understand but in a lot of ways he is so much like my deceased husband. I’m very happy and not alone anymore because I know he is here in my heart through my best friend, Trapper."

Their Gear: "We love all the levels of agility equipment! From portable stuff to the professional competition level products, we have quite a variety. Tunnels, teeter, wing jumps, regular jumps and add on triple jump."
